At a glance, Ki’ama Bahamas comprises a total of 24 residences; 16 four-bedroom Club residences and 8 six-bedroom whole ownership estate homes, a fleet of 8 solar-powered and crewed yachts by Silent Yachts, electric day boats, a beach club and restaurant, spa, a two-acre protected marina and six private white sand beaches.

The project is a partnership by developer EcoIsland Development, along with Silent Resorts and Silent Yachts, creating Ki’ama Bahamas as the first location of the future Ki’ama brand of resort developments – setting the standard for eco-conscious development around the world. It represents the next generation of resort real estate development, investing in new technologies and processes to create a truly sustainable community. It’s located on private Elizabeth Island in the Bahamas (in the Exumas), where only 18% of the island will be developed once completed in 2024 – the smallest amount of any Caribbean development. Most of the development is taking place off-island to eliminate much of the excavation that would be required – reducing disruption to the land, native plants and wildlife. The entire community will be 100% solar-powered, pools will be built in recycled shipping containers, and the resort will utilize highly efficient, advanced water purification and wastewater treatment systems.

The developer EcoIsland Development, along with Silent Resorts and Silent Yachts, have created an eco-preservation charitable component as well in which one percent of all residence sales are donated to Silent Catch, a nonprofit supporting the electrification of local artisanal fishing fleets, preservation of mangrove habitats and the funding of reef restoration.

Owners can enjoy their home and yacht for a minimum of five weeks per year (unlimited based on space availability) and can rent their time as well. Pricing of the Club residences starts at $525,000, with annual ownership fees applying. Eight estate residences start from $4.25 million. Club residence ownership, grants owners access to 21 annual residence vacation days, and 10 yacht days aboard the crewed, fully catered, solar-powered Silent Yachts. The fleet of 60- to 80-foot luxury solar-powered catamarans eliminates the major drawbacks of traditional yachts – the environmental impact and noise of fossil fuel engines, high operating costs, and expensive maintenance – without diminishing the pleasures that make yachting one of the ultimate vacation experiences. Club Ki’ama Bahamas is the perfect opportunity for those seeking a home in the Bahamas at a fraction of the cost and without the hassle of home ownership.

Latest Developments / Timing: In December, the first Club Silent 62 yacht is set to arrive at Elizabeth Island. Owner yacht vacations are due to start in January 2024, while the first two residences will complete in February 2024, and owner residence vacations are set to start in March 2024.
