Victor is CEO and Founder of Silent Resorts and is responsible for all aspects of Ki’ama planning, design and construction. Sustainable island development has long been a passion for Victor, and when he discovered Silent Yachts, he realized islands, residences, and luxury yachts could come together to make the world’s first 100% solar-powered, fossil-fuel-free development. Victor has extensive international development planning, architectural design, and technology experience. He has assisted developers and corporations in the successful development of sustainable luxury tourism projects in the U.S., Mexico, Caribbean, China, UAE, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Victor has successfully managed design/build logistics in remote and developing areas, utilizing location-specific value engineering. His mastery of pre-engineered and modular construction along with water purification, wastewater processing, and solar power systems, is especially valuable and cost-effective in beautiful but challenging locations.
John successfully attracted the equity investments required to launch Ki’ama Bahamas and is involved daily in all aspects of its development, marketing and sales. John’s extensive travels and knack for identifying smart investments led him to co-found Equity Residences, which has seen the successful launch and growth of three luxury real estate private equity funds. He has more than 30 years’ experience in management, consulting, and private equity. John, who holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from Rice University, began his career at McKinsey & Company and then personally advised companies on growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and new ventures. An avid traveler who has visited more than 50 countries, John currently lives in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica with his family.
Adam was instrumental in Ki’ama Bahamas’s initial capital raise and is involved in all strategy discussions and planning for future Ki’ama locations. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Spectra Holdings, a real estate private equity and development firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the real estate sector, raising and deploying more than $750 million of investor capital into a diverse portfolio of U.S. developments. He has particular expertise in originating, underwriting, financing, managing, and structuring conservation-centric real estate investments. He has a BS in Accounting and Management from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, and a Master’s Degree in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA.
Steve assembled the Ki’ama Bahamas team, created the Club Ki’ama owner’s residence/yacht use plan, and is involved in all marketing initiatives. Steve pioneered the world’s first residence club (luxury fractional real estate ownership) at the top-rated Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Subsequently, he structured and launched The Phillips Club in Manhattan, the world’s first urban residence club and the highest-grossing residence club in the world. His projects in the U.S. and internationally have generated more than $1 billion in sales. Steve is the founder of the Elite Alliance Companies and co-founder of Equity Residences. He was a member of Deer Valley Resort’s first executive team, has been a speaker at international symposiums, quoted in prominent publications, and was featured in two business books.
Greg’s experience as an investor, management executive, and consultant is relied on for all Ki’ama Bahamas strategic decisions and cost-benefit analyses. He co-founded and grew Equity Residences, a luxury real estate investment fund with hundreds of investors and residences in seven countries. Greg has worked across all facets of real estate, from the ground-up development to investment, design, and sales. Prior to his career as a real estate investor, Greg had executive management experience, both US and international, in private equity, business development, business strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. He holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business and an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin. During his career, he has lived in London, Paris, Nice, Sydney, and Singapore.
Ki’ama Bahamas relies on Jed’s 20+ years of experience in real estate and capital markets activity, as well as strategic and financial planning, to evaluate all financial decisions. He has served as a chief investment officer and has been responsible for overall investment strategies, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and financing strategy, including private equity funds focused on real estate developments that incorporate conservation easements. Jed has also served as the portfolio manager with responsibility for the investment, asset management, financing and disposition strategy of more than $80MM of equity invested, as well as managing more than $400MM of real estate assets over four years.
Virginia is responsible for all Ki’ama Bahamas corporate and consumer legal documents. She has served as corporate counsel and chief legal officer and has represented REITs, BDCs, and other alternative investment vehicles. She has more than ten years of diverse legal experience including public and private offerings of securities; ongoing securities law compliance, and SEC reporting and disclosure requirements. Virginia served as Counsel in the Office of General Counsel at Deloitte LLP where she represented various Deloitte entities in negotiations for the provision of capital-raising and mergers and acquisitions services. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School.
Stacie serves as chief of staff and project manager for the Ki’ama Bahamas development. In addition to ensuring that all members of the Ki’ama team are performing their assigned tasks in a timely manner, she oversees procurement/material ordering, freight logistics, and facilitation of the environmental impact assessment process and government approvals. Stacie worked closely with Silent Resorts CEO Victor Barrett to develop a destination resort with a restaurant, bar, beach grill and beach club on Mayreau Island, a remote island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Prior to joining Ki’ama Bahamas, Stacie served as director of real estate for Cano Health and was responsible for overseeing its portfolio of more than 140 medical clinics and administrative offices across Florida.
Shelley is Ki’ama Bahamas’ Ownership Representative, responsible for all interactions with current and future Club and Estate Home owners. She comes to Ki’ama Bahamas with more than 10 years of relationship sales experience at Galderma Laboratories. During those years, she also served as a sales trainer and advanced in roles throughout her tenure. Shelley was part of multiple successful product launches and received national recognition for numerous years for performance ranking. Her passion for generating excitement and energy pairs perfectly with the opportunity to enthusiastically convey Ki’ama’s focus on sustainability and the uniqueness of co-owning both residences and yachts. She is particularly passionate about establishing Ki’ama Bahamas as the lodestar for future development, thereby setting an example for her children.
Daniel is involved in all Ki’ama Bahamas financial underwriting, forecasting and monitoring, as well as documentation for the Bahamian government. He served as the Director of Real Estate at Parramore Quinn, a full-service development and construction management firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. His experience includes designing, capitalizing, developing, and investing in commercial and residential real estate projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Daniel assisted in the construction of a $100 million equity portfolio that included investments across the United States and worked with Portman Holdings where he underwrote and facilitated design for more than $2 billion of commercial and residential development
